I’m a Physics Ph.D. student at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where I study theoretical physics primarily through computational work.

Whenever I’m not coding, odds are I’m writing. I believe storytelling is a fundamental aspect of science communication, both within and outside of the scientific community. I written for The SPS Observer and Ursinus College’s The Grizzly, where I was also the Editor-in-Chief. You can stay up to date with my work via my Substack, Sapphonova, and further research details to come as I finalize my project.

I co-organize Physics from the Ground Up, a public lecture series run by UNC Physics and Astronomy grad students, and I gave a talk in October 2025 entitled “Frankenphysics: An Exploration in the Physics Inspiring Frankenstein and how Frankenstein Inspires Science.”

Before starting at UNC in autumn 2024, I researched bioactive glass beads with Dr. Casey Schwarz at Ursinus College from 2022-2024 and gravitational wave detection at INFN-Pisa as part of the University of Florida’s 2023 IREU.

At the Virgo Detector just Outside of Pisa, Italy. One of four gravitational wave detectors in the world! June 2023.
